An exotic pipe from Schermerhorn, HollandEen exotische pijp uit Schermerhorn By Don Duco Abstract: This article describes an excavated tobacco pipe from Schermerhorn, North-Holland from Ottoman origin and dating between 1665 and 1685. The pipe was found back including its original stem made of lead. The object is discussed and compared with a similar tobacco pipe, brought back from Krete as an archaeological souvenir some three hundred years later.
